Mag. Ingrid Salander
Mag. Ingrid Salander, professional translator and festival president.
In 1997, together with her husband, the famous Austrian clarinetist professor Roger Salander, she founded the Heiligenkreuzer Herbst chamber music festival , which took place in the Heiligenkreuz monastery near Vienna, and served as festival president.
Over the years they have worked with the Vienna Philharmonic and other well-known European and American musicians to successfully present a series of high-quality chamber music concerts in Vienna and other European cities.
Mag. Jing Gatke
Mag. Jing Gatke is a graduate of the Beijing Central Conservatory and University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. At the age of 15, she was invited to perform on China Central Radio and CCTV and participated in the recording of the first cello album after China's cultural revolution, released by the China Record Corporation. At the age of 21 she won first prize at the I. China National Cello Competition. She was a student of Prof. Song Tao, Zong Bo and Prof. Tobias Kühne, and also took part in master classes with Paul Tortelier, Andre Navarra, Daniil Shafran, Karine Georgian and Arto Noras. She served as principal cellist of the 1st Austrian Women's Chamber Orchestra for over ten years. In 1994 the orchestra went on tour through China with the invitation of the Chinese government and the International Women's Conference United Nations. She has performed at the Salzburg Festival, the Wiener Festwochen, the Weimar Festival and the Blois Festival and performed at other festivals in Italy, the Czech Republic and Hungary. She has toured Great Britain, Spain and Germany. In 1995 she performed the American Composer David Fetherolf's Cello Concerto, premiered with the Czech Moravian Philharmonic. The CD recording was released under the Vienna Modern Masters label. The legendary Austrian pianist Prof. Jörg Demus was one of her mentors. In 1998 they toured China together with great success at the invitation of the Chinese Ministry of Culture. Her chamber music partners include Prof. Luz Leskowitz, Tibor Kovac, Elisabeth Kropfitsch and Peter Ritzen. In 1994 she was granted the Austrian citizenship by then mayor of Vienna, Dr. Helmut Zilk, thanks to her musical ability and with strong recommendations from several famous Austrian Musicians and artists. Since 2015 she has been planning and organizing the Salzburg music camp for Chinese youths, the Vienna piano master classes for students of the Shenzhen Lang Lang Music World and other projects. She has taken part in numerous music and arts projects ion invitation by the Austrian state cultural institutions.
